For example in The Secret Life of Bees, the little girl had to kneel on grits on the floor as a punishment. Then I laughed at the expanding grits. It reminded me of a nun I know who was cooking dried green peas and decided those funny little things would never feed the community, and kept adding more. When the peas expanded Sister couldn't keep the lid on the pot and peas flowed onto the kitchen floor.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08470961835179653158noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8633605624278222815.post-70390825110681204052012-03-19T23:08:32.050-04:002012-03-19T23:08:32.050-04:00Ah, grits! I've cooked cous-cous enough times I know better than to keep adding to the mix.

Around here, everyone adds mile to their grits, and since I'm a vegan, I don't eat it.L.
