Alex and Matthew Host a Blog Hop

Thanks for your travel wishes!  We returned from Vermont late yesterday, tired but happy.  Every minute of the quick trip lived up to expectations.  I've got photos to share later.  Today, I'd like to share the news about a super blog hop that begins on the 14th.

Please visit Alex's blog here or Matthew's blog here and add your blog to an amazing Linky List of fellow bloggers who hope to increase their Follower base.

When I began blogging, I didn't realize the importance of the number of Followers one has.  But, if one is going to write and hope that others will read what one has published (regardless of how it's published), it's important to get one's blog Out There.

I confess to being a bit shy about this.  One part of me wants to jump into the lake and go for it.  Another part of me pulls back because the water looks cold ... or hot ... or murky, whatever excuse works at the moment.  But my Christmas story, "Remy Broussard's Christmas," is ready for Amazon.

Deep down, what's driving me is getting my message out.  As tough as economic times are now, there was a time when life was tougher for many, during the sharecropper era in the Old South.  But hope and faith and community eventually prevailed.

As Alex and Matthew requested, I'm listing three blogs.  If you have a sec, please drop by.  The idea is for all of us to meet each other and join together.  Since we're just a click away, a big Thank You to Matthew and Alex for this awesome fest!

I'm feeling honored, again, today. Thank you so much. And, what a fun day to share my blog with the Buddy Walk and Roll pictures up. I'm feeling the great big hug of community, from my own small dot on the globe, to the wider Earth-family.
Love your stories.
Love your blog.
Love your support.
Love YOU!

Hi, Kittie!

This is Stephanie from LinkedIn. I absolutely adore your blog.

Any book lovers out there, please check out Poachers, my newest YA fantasy.

Ronnie Toll has never played with other kids. He's never slept soundly throughout the night, turned a corner without checking first, or laughed for the sake of laughing. All Ronnie knows is a world of shadows and monsters. His mother and father, Marion and Leon, are the only ones by his side. But all that is about to change when his mother is murdered by the monsters that only he can see. With his only safe haven crumbling around him, Ronnie becomes a poacher for the other side to help protect human civilization as he knows it. The problem is, he’s taking on more than he bargained for when he tangles with creatures that are larger than life—and himself.

We meet, and some of us are as ships passing in the night. I can't keep up with everyone who has click on my follow button. I just read Nathan Bransford's post on this subject: blogger fatigue. But we CAN meet a few new people each day. Some we may keep checking in on, some we won't.

I recently signed up on Alex's blog. I will try to follow through. But, we do what we can with the time we have.

I LOVE Vermont. Went there once during the three years I lived in Connecticut with my first husband, when my parents (now deceased) came out from Utah and went with us. It was THE most beautiful place. So was New Hampshire. I'm looking forward to seeing your photographs!

Welcome back Kittie!! I'm glad to have you again here. Speaking of Vermont, it reminds me of Tasha Tudor's garden. Although she passed away, the books on her garden are still very pupular in Japan. Looking forward to your photos!

That is such a glam profile picture of you. If you've had it for a while, I'm sorry I didn't take notice of it sooner.

Hey Kittie! Always a pleasure to drop by here and visit my fave southern belle. :)
I've not visited these blogs before so I'll hop right over and say hello. I'm excited for you and your story. I'm self-pubbing another one early next year too. I've found I really like it. It gives me a sense of pride and hope, unlike querying where life seems eternally hopeless. lol
